Harriet Lea-Banks wins top student prize at 171st Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America
Congratulations to Harriet Lea-Banks, a second-year DPhil student supervised by Professors Constantin Coussios and Eleanor Stride within the Institute of Biomedical Engineering's Biomedical Ultrasonics, Biotherapy and Biopharmaceuticals Laboratory (BUBBL), for being awarded the Best Student Paper Award for Biomedical Acoustics during the 171st Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, held in Salt Lake City, Utah, between 23-27th May 2016.
Harriet's paper, titled “Ultrasound-mediated transport of nanoparticles and the influence of particle density”, was given as both an oral presentation and a poster, and her research was supported by a doctoral training studentship from the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and by the EPSRC Programme Grant “OxCD3: Oxford Centre for Drug Delivery Devices".
